One terminal. One team. Car to aircraft.

A business-aviation airport beside the market town of Ashlow, for private and business jets and turboprops. The airport's own handling team looks after the aircraft, the passengers and the crew, from the car door to the aircraft step.

There is no airline here and no ticket desk. You fly with an operator, or on your own aircraft.

Scroll, and the drawing marks each stage. It is illustrative: not to scale and not for navigation.

Ashlow Airport, aerodrome diagram (illustrative)A drawn plan of the airport. The runway runs across the middle, with a parallel taxiway. South of it are the apron, the single-storey terminal, the fuel bowsers, two hangars to the east and a ground-run area to the west. The car park and Aerodrome Road lead to the terminal door from the town of Ashlow in the south-west. Two departure routes turn away from the town and the villages nearby. Runway, frequencies and charts [Showcase: operational data is not shown on a fictional site]. A real airport publishes them in the UK AIP (Part 3, AD 2) and in current NOTAMs.

Four rules, before anyone books.

Prior permission

Every movement needs prior permission. There are no walk-in arrivals. Ask with the handling request, at least 24 hours before arrival.

Operators and crew

Customs on request

International flights are cleared by Border Force on request, arranged through Operations with at least 24 hours' notice where possible. The operator or pilot submits the General Aviation Report, not the airport.

Pets

Dogs, cats and ferrets are welcome on flights within the UK and from Ireland. Ashlow is not an approved entry point for pets arriving from anywhere else.

Electronic Travel Authorisation

Visitors from visa-exempt countries need an ETA before travelling to the UK. British and Irish citizens do not. Each person needs one, including children.

GOV.UK: apply for an ETA

Tell handling what is flying, when, and who is on board.

One request covers the aircraft, the passengers and the crew. Send it at least 24 hours before arrival. Operations confirms the times with the prior permission.
